January 31, 2017 I had a car accident that left me with spinal stenosis and Muscular skeleton disorder.
After serving the department for 17 years I requested an medical accommodation on January 2, 2019 to remain in the open Sergeants vacancy on the day shift 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM from the night shift 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, so I could continue my pain management treatments and physical therapy at night.
The requested accommodation were denied by the departments of corrections disability accommodation coordinator and I was terminated from state service for requesting the medical accommodation.
The department tried to justify removing me from work on January 5, 2019 by alleging that they were verifying the requested medical
accommodation request to see if I could perform my essential job duties. When in fact they were conspiring against me & harassing my medical providers in the hopes to obtain a statement from them saying that the medical accommodation request that I submitted submitted had been falsified!
When the department of corrections failed to obtain a statement from my medical providers they wrongly terminated me on April 11, 2019.
This was another wrongful termination “I was terminated for requesting that the disciplinary conference regarding the alleged falsification of the medical accommodation request be rescheduled!
